Most of us perceive waiting as an inevitable evil, that cannot be altered or shortened. Few people are aware that the way we spend time waiting can increase joy, and brighten moods. We can even gain knowledge through it.
This advent calendar edition makes a thrilling production out of waiting. In daily »stage directions« on 24 waiting numbers, I deliberately refer to artistic calls to action from Marcel Duchamp to Yoko Ono, and Timm Ulrichs, whose work and thinking greatly inspired and influenced mine.
